Useful answers earn attention.
A downloaded PDF can show interest, but it tells you little about a buyer’s situation. A calculator, diagnostic or benchmark can offer an answer shaped by the data they choose to share.
Our thesis is that interactive tools can make self-service evaluation more useful and qualification more informative. As AI makes building software more accessible, we can test several focused tools and learn which ones buyers actually use.
Four shifts behind the idea.
Give value before asking for contact details.
Gated content and generic follow-up sequences ask buyers to commit before they know what they will get. An ROI calculator or assessment can deliver a relevant answer first, using information the buyer provides directly.
Let buyers explore on their own terms.
Buyers should be able to compare scenarios, explore pricing and benchmark performance without booking a discovery call. A useful tool can help them evaluate their options and share context when they choose to take the next step.
Show expertise through utility.
When generic content is easy to produce, useful calculations and tailored results give buyers something more concrete. Clear assumptions, defensible formulas and relevant data make the expertise visible.
Make experimentation practical.
More accessible software development makes it possible to test tool logic, inputs, layouts and outputs. The aim is to learn from real use and improve the experience, rather than treat each tool as a one-off launch.
What we want to change.

Build it. Test it. Learn.
We plan to validate the approach in two settings: our own acquisition channels and a wedding technology platform serving event professionals.
Use it ourselves.
Test interactive ROI tools on our own channels. Learn which inputs are useful and which actions indicate meaningful interest.
Apply it to a real workflow.
Explore diagnostics for event planners, including workflow inefficiencies, venue management overhead and margin leakage. Measure use and conversion before drawing conclusions.
